With a focus on ongoing improvement, the Sicame Group is investing in the optimization of its test laboratories, following the example of this project in India.

The Sicame India Testing and Engineering Centre (SITEC), based in Chennai, is part of the project to develop and streamline the laboratories of the Sicame Group's Transmission Division. In this context, a several years roadmap has been drawn up and the SITEC, accredited by the National Accreditation Board and ISO 17025 certified, acquires increased capacity for equipment and skills enhancement for its staff.

In an initial stage, mechanical tests for the HTLS and OPGW transmission line accessories were carried out in 2022. They will be followed by electrical and vibration tests in the coming years.

A horizontal test bench with a capacity of 1,000 kN has also been installed and will help Sicame India to carry out tests on 400 kV transmission chain equipment, particularly in the context of various current projects.
