Sicame Australia wins major solar energy contract

Sicame Australia, which supplies solar harnesses and connection cables in Western Australia, has won a major new contract this year, reinforcing its reputation as an expert and preferred partner in the region.

Working with distributor MyElec and engineering, procurement and construction company Hybrid Systems Australia, Sicame Group's Australian subsidiary has won a major contract for four mining sites, which have invested heavily in renewable energy and are currently under construction for commissioning in late 2023.

One of the sites is a 9 MW solar farm, comprising over 17,000 solar panels, for the Garden Well gold mine.

In search of a local supplier to meet its commissioning schedules, MyElec turned to Sicame Australia in 2021, who, with their knowledge and expertise, designed and manufactured a solar harness to the customer's own specifications and timescales.

These business-to-business products continue to appeal to the Australian renewable energy market, with several new projects under discussion with the subsidiary.
