Sicame Group, a world leader in products and services related to electrical power transmission and distribution, renewable energies, electromobility, safety equipment and industrial applications, has signed a partnership agreement with Agefiph as part of its social commitment and to give concrete expression to its desire to support inclusivity in the workplace.
In order to develop and facilitate access to employment, job retention and career advancement for people with disabilities, the agreement sets out a range of services and tools (including awareness-raising, training and the sharing of best practices) that Sicame Group can draw on to strengthen its disability policy.
Among the priorities of the employment policy agreement with Agefiph :
- Training, awareness-raising and communication to change people's views on disability and raise the profile of the approach both internally and externally,
- Recruitment and integration, to increase the number of disabled workers in our various professions (technicians, machinists and cable workers, for example),
- Support for career development, in particular by making training courses more accessible,
- Maintaining the employment of professionals experiencing difficulties in their jobs,
- Developing partnerships with various players to diversify recruitment channels and thus candidate profiles.
The aim of this partnership with Agefiph is to accelerate Sicame Group's actions in favor of inclusion and diversity in the workplace. The agreement will provide teams with new resources and tools, and the Group's 8 sites in France will become more involved in national and local initiatives.
Nadine Valet, Director of Human Resources at Sicame Group, comments: "Sicame Group has always been committed to a strong social policy. We want to take our actions even further. This agreement with Agefiph will serve to deepen our commitment and develop our ambitious policy of inclusion in an industrial sector".
According to Christophe Roth, President of Agefiph: "Despite inflation and economic uncertainty, French industry continues to invest in its future. It is with this in mind that Agefiph is working alongside Sicame Group to support the employment of people with disabilities in the sector. With a 6.1% employment rate for people with disabilities by 2022, the Group is on the right track and can now count on Agefiph's expertise and support to help it reach its target of 8% by 2026. Let's make progress together!"
