Double ministerial visit at Catu: Sicame Group committed to energy transition

As part of its forward-looking approach to the energy transition, Sicame Group recently demonstrated its commitment to vocational training by signing an agreement with the vocational high school Léonard de Vinci in Bagneux, France, and welcoming students to its Paris-based subsidiary Catu.

The energy transition and the intensification of electrification are increasing the need for qualified personnel in the sector. Faced with this changing market, Enedis, in collaboration with its industrial partners, has launched the "Écoles des reseaux pour la transition énergétique" program, which aims to anticipate and respond to the growing need for recruitment in the sector, by opening "electrical networks" classes in vocational high schools.

As part of this program, and in the presence of Marianne Laigneau, Director of the Enedis management board, Nadine Valet, Sicame Group human resources Director signed an agreement in December 2023 between Catu and the vocational high school Léonard de Vinci, to welcome young people in training.

As part of this agreement, Catu opened the doors of its factory to the high school's students, as well as to Agnès Pannier-Runacher, Minister for Energy Transition, and Carole Grandjean, Minister Delegate for Vocational Education and Training, offering an immersion in the world of electrical industry professions and enabling young people to grasp the challenges facing the field. A moment rich in sharing and discoveries around the issues of the energy transition.

Through this initiative, Sicame Group affirms its commitment to meeting tomorrow's challenges and playing an active part in building a sustainable energy future.
