Since the 2000s, Sicame Group, through its subsidiary Mecatraction, has been supplying power terminals to all PSA (Peugeot) brands, which acquired Opel in 2017 and merged with FCA (Fiat Chrysler Automobiles) to create Stellantis Group.

As needs have become increasingly important since the merger, Sicame Group is structuring its organization to design, qualify and industrialize the manufacture of new connections. To meet Stellantis' expectations, and following their request that the Group work on a security plan, a production line was opened in 2023 at the Safak site in Turkey.

As the numerous international contracts won from Stellantis and Renault call for major investments in capacity, Mecatraction has been awarded a grant as part of the France 2030 call for state projects, specialized in the development of hybrid and electric vehicles, and led by BPI France.

In this way, the Group is consolidating its position in the automotive sector by investing and supporting its customers in their development.
