As part of the ramp-up of the Alstom Maroc site in Fez, which is expected to increase from a workforce of 423 people currently to 1,000 employees, days devoted to putting supply chain players and project buyers in touch with the first 25 suppliers were organised during October.
Mecatraction, a long-standing partner of Alstom, was selected and was able to participate actively in the various workshops and meetings organised for the occasion.
The working groups studied different areas of improvement such as cost reduction, the supply chain, quality and the issue of lead times.
Mecatraction is considered by Alstom to be an expert entity in industrial and railway connections, and for the first time, the Group invited it to its meeting of Experts in Savigliano in Italy, which brings together some fifteen crimping experts from all over the world. This will be the opportunity for Mecatraction to present its innovations on the railway ranges over a half-day. These approaches initiated with Alstom are in line with the customer strategy of the Connectors - Tooling SBU.
