In response to the critical issue of occupational health, and more specifically the risks associated with welding operations, our subsidiary Dervaux Distribution, based in the Loire region of France, has introduced several solutions to reduce workers’ exposure to welding fumes, in addition to extraction tables and arms:

• Ventilated welding masks, ensuring respiratory protection and optimal comfort
• Extraction torches and filtration stations, enabling fumes to be captured at source

To ensure the longevity of the ventilated welding masks, the subsidiary has also implemented a dedicated storage solution for the masks, promoting protection, cleanliness and accessibility, a charging station, ensuring batteries are always available, as well as a programme of preventive maintenance operations.

These measures to improve ambient air quality and working conditions in the workshop benefit staff working in and around the welding bays, and form part of Dervaux Distribution’s CSR plan and Sicame Group’s safety improvement initiative.
