Sicame Group, through its subsidiary Dervaux and in partnership with Vinci ֤Énergies Sénégal and Senelec in particular, has installed HTLS accessories on the Thiona-Someta line in western Senegal. This 50 km 90 kV line is a world first, incorporating for the first time the installation of accessories for composite core cables with fiber optics, which enable significant reinforcement of the power grid. The conductors increase the capacity of the existing line, while improving its reliability and efficiency. Several partners, including CTC Global, supplier of the carbon core, and Midal Cable, responsible for cable manufacture, collaborated on the project, which was completed thanks to their expertise and Vinci's local support. This project demonstrates the Group's commitment to innovation in the service of the world's power grids.
