In April 2024, Sicame Group won an exceptionally large order for Sonelgaz, Algeria's leading producer and supplier of electricity and distributor of gas.

Catu, a Sicame Group subsidiary based in Bagneux, France, won a significant part of this tender, worth over 11 million euros, for the supply of earthing equipment and insulated tools.

The challenge was considerable: to produce and deliver in record time almost 145,000 items, including 20,000 pairs of gloves, 1,500 detectors, 2,200 helmets and over 88,000 insulated tools.

In just six months, the subsidiary successfully met the challenge, which required setting up a dedicated team and working closely with various Sicame Group subsidiaries: Mecatraction, Boddingtons Electrical, Sicame India and Supersafe.

This unprecedented organization made it possible to manufacture, control and deliver all the equipment, meeting Sonelgaz's technical and deadline requirements.

Beyond its industrial and logistical performance, this success illustrates the strength of Sicame Group's collaborative model, responsiveness and adaptability. It opens the way to new opportunities in Africa and internationally, consolidating the Group's position as a benchmark partner for power grid security.
