Sicame Group continues its external growth strategy and strengthens its industrial connectors & tooling division.
Sicame Group, world leader in accessories and services related to the transport and distribution of electrical energy, confirms its ambitions to develop its industrial connectors and tooling division with the acquisition* of the Turkish company: Şafak.
*the acquisition will only go through after approval by the Turkish competition authorities.
Created in 1980 and located on an 11,000 m2 production site at Istanbul, Şafak is specialised in designing and producing a complete range of connectors for industrial applications as well as the associated crimping tools. From the beginning, this company has continued to grow based on the recognised expertise and quality of its products, to become one of today's leaders in its domestic market and occupy a significant export position.
For the Group, this acquisition will make it possible to increase the production and innovation capacity of its ranges (tubular and pre-insulated terminals, mechanically crimped terminals, associated products and tooling) essential to the operation of electrical facilities. The acquisition strengthens the offer from its subsidiaries Mécatraction, SBI Connectors, Cegers Tools and Ask Power, providing an even better response to growing demand in all parts of the world.
For Şafak, this is an opportunity to join a global group, enabling the company to rely on an international network of partners and subsidiaries to accelerate its own growth.
